Andy Gilbert 14th June

What a fantastic way to finish the Leek Loves Books Festival with Andy Gilbert - Writer/Comedy Performer at Spout Brewhouse. I can't remember when I last laughed with tears streaming down my face. So observant, clever and very very naughty. Andy Gilbert, you have to come back next year!

Pete had us laughing throughout an enjoyable evening talking about his writing and process. Over a beer we listened to Pete read a short story with a shocking bake off themed twist. A great night and we are looking forward to seeing what he writes next.

David Cliffe           November 9th 2023

A full-house enjoyed David's inspiration for his second novel set in Edwardian Leek.

Fabulous local author who was the Editor of the Leek Post. The book is fictional but set in Leek in 1904 and full of photos and history of the time.
